This year I was invited to the "World Athletics Gala" in Monte Carlo, Monaco for the first time in my carreer.
Here are a couple of pictures from my days there.

On Saturday afternoon I visited Grimaldi Forum and saw live-tennis for the first time ever. And I could have had a worse start: Björn Borg on one side of the net...

The two giants won one set each before the american finally won the match!

...and John McEnroe, who couldn't stop himself from arguing with the referee, on the other.

Parts of the swedish delegation: Myself, Kajsa Bergqvist (one of the nominees for "Best female athlete of the year") and our manager Daniel Wessfeldt.

I also had the chance to do some training, in the shadow of Monaco Marathon, on Stade Louis II. The venue for next years World Athletics Final (a.k.a. IAAF Grand Prix Final).

This years top-ranked high jumpers from IAAF and the man who introduced the flop-technique: Myself, Dick Fosbury (Olympic champion with 224 cm in Mexico City 1968) and Kajsa Bergqvist.

Some of the greatest athletes of all time. For example: Sergej Bubka, Dick Fosbury, Tommie Smith, Lee Evans, Donovan Bailey, Kip Keino, Paul Ereng, Noureddine Morceli, Mike Powell etc.

The night has come to an end and Kajsa and me, and some other swedes, are relaxing on Sass Café in Monte Carlo.
